Top 5 iOS Navigation Apps in Switzerland: Q3 2024 Performance

In the third quarter of 2024, the top navigation and maps applications on the iOS platform in Switzerland showcased varied performance trends, as revealed by Sensor Tower data.

Google Maps experienced a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 6.8K in early July and rising to over 11.5K by the end of September. The app also maintained a robust base of weekly active users, fluctuating slightly but generally staying above 1.9M.

Polarsteps - Travel Tracker saw a consistent growth in weekly downloads, moving from approximately 4.3K at the beginning of the quarter to about 7.6K by the end. Weekly active users demonstrated a steady climb from around 25.9K to over 37.2K, indicating a growing user engagement.

swisstopo had a modest revenue stream, peaking at $14 during the week of September 23. The app's weekly downloads witnessed a peak of around 4.2K in July before a decline to approximately 2.6K by the end of the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 47K throughout the period.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic displayed a downward trend in weekly downloads, starting at about 2.3K and decreasing to 1.9K by late September. Despite this, weekly active users maintained a consistent range, beginning at approximately 103K and slightly decreasing to around 100K.

Finally, Google Earth showed a gradual decline in weekly downloads from about 2K to 1.5K over the quarter. Active users also saw a decrease, starting at just over 21K and ending at around 19.4K.
